granted to Consumers of Dubai -
- An appropriate and
safe environment when purchasing a good or receiving a service
The Dubai Consumer Rights states that consumers have the
right to receive goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as
described. These rights are not absolute and can be limited by the terms of an
agreement between a consumer and a trader. Consumers have the right to return
goods they purchase within defined days if they are faulty or not as expected.
- To obtain correct
information about the goods they purchase, use or consume or the service
they receive
This right allows to
have correct information about the goods or services consumers purchase. This
includes getting a refund for a faulty product where you have the right to do
so for up to certain days after the purchase.
- Consumer to stay
informed about their rights and obligations
Consumers are often not
aware of their rights and obligations. They need to be aware of their rights so
that they can protect themselves. Consumers need to be more informed about
their rights and obligations as this will result in them being able to protect
themselves better.
- Right to choose
appropriate product and service available in the market according to their
wishes
The consumer is the king in a
free market. The consumer is the one who decides what product or service they
want to buy, not the producer. If a producer wants to sell their product or
service, they need to make sure it meets the needs of their consumers.
- Obtain fair
compensation for damages on purchasing or using defective goods or
receiving inadequate or unprofessional services.
Consumers have the right to be
compensated for any damage they suffer as a result of purchasing or using
defective goods. This means that if you purchase an item from a retailer and it
turns out to be faulty, you can ask for your money back or for the faulty item
to be repaired or replaced by the retailer.
